We here at Fort Dane Books are dedicated to the idea that one cannot understand history unless one understands the people who lived that history. Conversely, one can not understand the people unless one understands the history of the period they lived in. Therefore, we feature books that explore and hopefully expand our knowledge of history through the eyes of those who lived it.

We have two other goals here at Fort Dane Books. First we want to enjoy what we do. If we find a manuscript or book that we enjoy reading, and we know that the author enjoyed writing’ we will try to publish it and have it on our shelves. We do this to reach our goal. That goal is simple. We honestly want you, our readers, to enjoy the books you obtain through our services. If you learn more about history as you read our books we have reached our wildest dreams.
